It is my privilege to honor Chase Plumb as the January 2016 Douglas Intermediate School Spotlight Employee. Chase has been the Physical Education teacher at DIS for 8 years.

A visit to his classroom will show his dynamic lesson design to create an active curriculum where students are eager to participate. Chase is a master of classroom management and is continually teaching the expectations of our positive behavior system. Keeping current on opportunities in his professional field is important to him. This benefits the students through new and unique activities that encourage physical activity while promoting problem solving and teamwork.

Chase is a positive influence on the building culture. His cheerful and outgoing personality brightens each place he enters. He is always willing to stop and share his positive attitude with his students and colleagues. His work spreads to the community as well. He coordinates the Jump Rope for Heart Program and our campus is consistently one of the top schools in the state of Wyoming.

Willingness to help is another way Chase makes a positive contribution to the school campus.  He is willing to be a student mentor through the morning check and connect program, cover a class on short notice, or serve lunch in the absence of the kitchen staff. Chase is willing to pitch in and make the school better any way he can

Please help us in honoring Chase Plumb as the January 2016 DIS Spotlight Employee.
